Finally, an October without homework. Now I can appreciate the month for what it really is: thirty days leading up to Halloween. Hallo-Month. That’s terrible. Octoberween? Meh. Good enough.
Happy Octoberween, kids. Since I’m apparently in the mood for some spooky fun, Rooster Illusion is reviewing a horror movie a week, so you can look forward to that every Wednesday. Why Wednesday? Because Halloween is on a Wednesday, silly! God, check a calendar. You’re on the internet, I promise you can find one.
So, remember when I mentioned changes in the title? Don’t play dumb with me, ya big palooka, I know ya remember. Huh. Not sure where that came from. Anyway, Octoberween sees the beginning of Rooster Illusion’s until now unannounced plan to add more writers. By the way, that is thing that is happening.
First up is Sarah Lawrence, the super talented artist/graphic designer behind the kick-ass new banner at the top of the page, and the equally kick-ass one that’s usually there. Starting this Friday, she’ll be sharing her passion for cheesy sci-fi movies with the world, or at least the part of the world that reads this blog. We’re calling it SciFriday. I’m pretty excited, and you should be too.
And that’s the end of today’s announcements. Tune in this Wednesday for step one of Rooster Illusion’s five-step program to get you pumped for Halloween. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Octoberween.
I didn’t make this, but oh man, do I ever wish I had.
That video is so good! Hey, btdubs, are you still using your SLU email?
That’s awesome news! I can hardly wait for critical analysis of Sci-fi original movies! And I LOVE the Halloween banner (or whatever you call it) at the top of the page.
Yeah, Sarah’s banner/header (I’ve heard it both ways) is great! And I don’t want to spoil anything, but SciFriday is going to be a good time.
